Color and Design Tours return to 2005 Parade of Homes

The designers for each of the homes in the Parade will provide 30-minute guided tours through the homes they decorated. "Participants will see current color trends as well as what's "hot" in the home interiors market," said Patti Marvitz, tour chairperson and owner of Walls too Windows. "Expanding on last year's success, we are incorporating an evening tour for those who wish to attend later in the day, as well as a morning tour."

The morning tour will be held on Thursday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to noon, with check in at 8:30 a.m. Homes included on that tour will include Fazzolari Custom Homes, Quail Homes, Harbour Bay Homes, and Larry Boitano Builder Ltd. The evening tour is scheduled for Thursday, September 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with check in at 5:30 p.m. The evening tour includes homes by Clark and Son Homes LLC, Lynwood Homes, M.J. Olson Enterprise Co., Philip Custom Homes LLC, and Fantasy Homes by Vladimir.

Each participant will receive a goody bag packed with information, and the homes will provide an informational booklet, listing product information, room colors, exterior color schemes, furniture and accessory availability and prices.

Cost of admission will be $20.00/person. The tour is limited to the first 75 people who RSVP for each tour date by calling the BIA office at 360-694-0933. Refreshments will be available.

"You will see and hear about details that might otherwise go unnoticed. You will learn the inspiration and ideas behind each designer's vision," Marvitz stressed. "This is a great opportunity to see the value and expertise that interior designers can bring to a home building or remodeling project."
