COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — So much has changed with the Columbus NHL franchise that maybe they should be called the New Jackets.

The Blue Jackets are no longer Rick Nash — and a bunch of other guys.

After almost a decade of being known as “Nash’s team,” the Blue Jackets, who open their 12th season on Saturday night in Nashville, will feature several players acquired from New York in the midsummer blockbuster that sent Nash to the Rangers.

Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov and Tim Erixon — who came over in the Nash deal — along with Sergei Bobrovsky, Nick Foligno and several new faces — will undoubtedly play important roles in the young team’s reconstruction.

There’s anxiety but also hope with so many newcomers on the roster of the beleaguered franchise.
