In a close finish, 2008 Sportsman Champion Derrick Jackson defeated 2008 Super Pro Champion Mark Dawson in the finals of Woodburn Dragstrip Aerospace Components King of the Track competition.  In the previous round, Jackson advanced to the finals via a red-light  from 2008 Motorcycle Champion Roger Wolff, while Dawson advanced via the red-light from 2008 Pro Champion Steve Kelly.
