Save money with second-run films

Friday, October 17 | 12:36 p.m.

MATT WASTRADOWSKI

Regal Vancouver Plaza 10 Cinema made the shift to showing second-run films exclusively today. The theater, 7800 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver, will show films that were popular in most theaters a month or two ago, instead of this week's box office smash.

Admission will be $3 per film for all shows.

The first slate of films is varied. There are family favorites ("Kung Fu Panda," "Wall-E," "Igor," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," "Journey to the Center of the Earth") comedies ("Step Brothers," "Pineapple Express") and action films ("Death Race," "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," "Babylon A.D.").

Check out Vancouver Plaza 10 Cinema's films and showtimes for this week.

The theater becomes Vancouver's second, um, second-run theater, joining downtown's Kiggins Theatre. Kiggins is showing "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" until Thursday. Admission at Kiggins is $4.
