Politics Blog

What to expect on Columbian.com tonight

Tuesday, November 4 | 3:47 p.m.

MICHAEL ANDERSEN, STAFF WRITER

The newsroom's buzzing like a hive today, so this'll be short and sweet:

- As the polls close across the country, we'll have the basic national numbers on our main elections page, courtesy of the Associated Press, on our site.
- The local polls close at 8 p.m. We'll post results as soon as we got 'em, but we'll be getting raw numbers from the county auditor's Web site, which will post one set of results, probably around 8:30. Further local results will wait until Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 4:30 p.m.
- Meanwhile, we'll be posting tidbits from local parties (and local Parties) and interviews with voters, also on the elections page.
- Our prose summaries of each local race will be posted by 10 p.m. or so., also on the elections page.
- I'll post some sort of analysis here after I file my stories. If you're lucky, Kathie might chime in.

As for this blog itself, we'll keep posting to it at least until all the races are settled. And we'll be discussing how to use it down the road. If you have any opinions, let us know.
