Vancouver Democrat Moeller gets leadership role

Jim Moeller

State Rep. Jim Moeller was named Sunday to a leadership position by the House Democratic Caucus.

Moeller, of Vancouver, is now the deputy speaker pro-tem-elect. He is a former member of the Vancouver City Council.

Democrats also named Frank Chopp of Seattle as speaker-elect; Lynn Kessler of Hoquiam as majority leader; Bill Grant of Walla Walla as caucus chairman; Sharon Tomiko Santos of Seattle as majority whip; and Jeff Morris of Mount Vernon as speaker pro-tem-elect.
