Farm market reports from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture:

LIVESTOCK: Summary of Louisiana livestock markets at Alexandria, Carencro, Coushatta and Delhi on Nov. 19.

CATTLE: 4,562. TRENDS: Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold steady to 5 higher. Feeders sold 4-6 lower.

CATTLE PRICES: Slaughter cows boners 42-52. Feeder steers medium and large frame 1-2, 300-400 lbs 97-119, 400-500 lbs 88-105. Feeder heifers medium and large frame 1-2, 300-400 lbs 84-98, 400-500 lbs 73-91. Cow-calf pairs 670-825.

BROILERS: f.o.b. dock prices Nov. 20, 92 cents.

SWEET POTATOES: Nov. 20 f.o.b. shipping point and f.o.b. delivered, 40-lb. cartons, Beauregard types, U.S. No 1 cured 16-18.

GRAIN: Nov. 20 cash soybean prices paid to farmers by Louisiana country grain elevators by area: northeast delta 7.36-7.71; central delta 7.46-8.20; southwest area 7.41.

COTTON: Nov. 20. North Delta mid 31-35 inch 37.41; SLM 41-34 36.16; purchases 1,133. South Delta mid 37.41; SLM 36.16; purchases 0.
