Two teens were injured Thursday night after their pickup went off a road east of Woodland and crashed into a tree, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Kelsey N. Hollett, 16, and Kendra J. Raisanen, 16, both of Amboy were transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center. Both were not listed as patients this morning.

The teens were passengers in a Ford F250 driven by Jared L. Nylund, 16, of Brush Prairie.

Nylund was driving south on state Highway 503 about 12 miles east of Woodland when his pickup veered off the road on a curve, hitting a tree and landing in a ditch, according to a WSP bulletin. The crash happened about 8:45 p.m.

Nylund was ticketed on suspicion of speeding and violation of an intermediate driver's license.

Another 16-year-old Brush Prairie passenger wasn't injured.
