Wendy McGraw has been elected president of the La Center North Clark County Chamber of Commerce and will take over duties Jan. 1. McGraw, a current Realtor and former marketing director for Rodda Paint Company, has been a member of the Chamber since 2003.

Kathleen A. Miller has joined the Columbia River Bank’s human resources team as a vice president and benefits administrator. Miller lives in Vancouver and has a degree in management and communications from Concordia University.

Waste Connections has recently promoted two employees. Jason Hudson has been promoted to district manager for solid waste and recycling collection services for the Vancouver hauling company. Hudson’s responsibilities include residential and commercial hauling within the greater Clark County area. He had been overseeing operations in Portland and St. Helens, Ore. Dan Schooler will be the district manager for the newly acquired Harold LeMay Enterprises in the Tacoma area. Schooler, who was instrumental in the roll-out of cart collection and new recycling programs in Clark County, has been with Waste Connections since 1999.

Clark County Association of Realtors has named real estate agent Sherri Adams its 2009 board president. Adams, co-owner of Century 21 Cascade Pacific, will be sworn in with four new officers and 10 board members in December.

Deborah L. Penney earned professional certification in the field of correctional health care Oct. 1. Penney currently works at the Clark County Jail.

Dan Foster, owner and senior advisor of Foster and Associates, 15609 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., has been elected president of the Financial Planning Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington for 2009. Foster has been a financial professional for 25 years.
