Lacamas Credit Union working on sixth branch

Monday, December 1 | 4:22 p.m.

Lacamas Community Credit Union will break ground on its sixth branch — and its first in Skamania County — at noon Friday. The public ceremony will take place on First Street, between Southwest Russell Avenue and Leavens Street, in Stevenson.

The branch is expected to open in mid 2009. Lacamas, chartered in 1936, was the first credit union in Clark County. It already has branches in Camas, Washougal and Vancouver.
