As of 2 p.m. today, power was fully restored to all 1,700 customers in Cowlitz County, including Cougar and Ariel, who were in the dark this morning after the recent dumping of snow.
The outage was first reported about 3 a.m., and was caused by snow-packed tree limbs falling onto power lines. At 6:30 a.m., crews were working to restore power to 900 customers in the area of Lewis River Valley, east of Woodland, and Castle Rock.
A small number of customers also were hit west of Longview. Crews had already restored a power outage early this morning to 920 customers south of Kelso and in another area west of Longview.
