-- GARBAGE: Garbage and recyclables will be picked up today in Clark County, including Camas. No collection Thursday.
In most of Clark County, collection for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day: Thursday’s regular pickup will be on Friday, and Friday’s pickup will be on Saturday.
In Camas, Thursday’s trash and recyclables will be picked up Friday with that day’s regular collections.
Last week’s inclement weather will allow people who missed a pickup to put out twice their normal amount of garbage at no additional charge.
West Van Materials Recovery Center, 6601 N.W. Old Lower River Road, and Central Transfer and Recycling Center, 11034 N.E. 117th Ave., closed Thursday.
-- MAIL: Post offices closed Thursday; no home delivery except for Express mail. The postal unit inside the Shell gas station at Fisher’s Landing, 16320 S.E. Cascade Park Drive, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
-- PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Closed this week. Classes resume on Monday.
-- COLLEGES: Classes resume at Clark College on Monday and at Washington State University Vancouver on Monday, Jan. 12.
-- PUBLIC LIBRARIES: Fort Vancouver Regional Library branches with evening hours will close early today, at 6 p.m. North Bonneville branch closed today. All Fort Vancouver libraries and bookmobiles closed Thursday.
Camas Public Library will close early today, at 6 p.m., and be closed Thursday.
-- GOVERNMENT: Federal, state, county and city offices closed Thursday.
-- BUSES: C-Tran will follow Sunday schedule on Thursday and provide reduced service on Friday.

TriMet will follow regular schedule today, with extra late-night service on the Yellow and Blue light-rail lines for New Year’s revelers. Beginning at 8 p.m., all buses and light-rail trains will be free. Blue and Yellow light-rail trains will leave every 15 minutes from downtown Portland until 1:30 a.m. and every 30 minutes between 1 and 2 a.m. Final northbound, westbound and eastbound trains will leave Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland about 3 a.m.

Portland Streetcar will follow regular schedule today and Sunday schedule on Thursday.
