SR 14 stretch reopens after rock/mud slides

Friday, January 2 | 8:15 a.m.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is reporting that State Route 14, from milepost 77-78, is back open after being closed for three hours last night and into early Friday morning.

The cause of the closure, just East of the Rowena/Lyle Tunnell, was due to 3 separate areas of rock/mud slides. The closure happened at 10:40 p.m. on Thursday night and the road was reopened this morning at 1:40 a.m.
