Three school buses crash in separate accidents

Three school buses braving the slushy roads in northeastern Clark County this morning slid and crashed in separate accidents, the Washington State Patrol reported.

No one was hurt. Two of the three collisions happened without any student passengers.

One crash involved a bus filled with 10 students from the Amboy area. Just before 9:30 a.m., the bus slid into a ditch at Northeast Amboy Road and Courtney Road. The bus sustained minor damage, but was up and running again less than an hour later, Washington State Patrol Trooper Dave Bourland.

The other crashes occurred at Northeast 198th Avenue and 139th Street, and state Highway 503 and Gabriel Road. No damage to the buses were reported in those two collisions, Bourland said.

Compact snow and slush on the roadway contributed to all accidents.
