Wanted suspect flees from officers

A Vancouver woman wanted on several warrants allegedly fled from officers Tuesday afternoon and was later found hiding in a bush five blocks away.
Pamela Rick, 41, was arrested on suspicion of violating her probation for a drug possession charge, two Clark County warrants for driving while suspended and theft and an unknown Oregon warrant.

After learning that Rick might be staying at a house at 4014 N.E. 56th St. in the East Minnehaha neighborhood, officers with the state's Department of Corrections went there to serve the warrant, said DOC spokesman Chad Lewis.

As officers approached the home, someone inside unleashed two German shepherds toward the officers. That's when Rick, who had emerged from the house, ran down the street, Lewis said.

Sheriff's deputies responded and staked out the area. They apprehended Rick about 30 minutes later, authorities said.
