Napavine deaths were murder-suicide

Monday, April 27 | 11:15 p.m.

The Lewis County sheriff's office says the deaths of a Napavine couple were a murder-suicide.

Investigators say the 62-year-old man shot the 53-year-old woman and then himself. They had been having marital issues.

The coroner's office identified the man to KELA as John Estigoy (ES'-ta-joy) and the woman as Barbara Porthen.

The shooting took place Thursday. Their bodies were discovered Friday after they didn't show up for work.
