An Olympia woman was hurt and her car totaled in a three-car collision on Interstate 5 in Vancouver Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Robin Schuett-Hames, 30, was northbound near exit 4 in her 1998 Subaru when an unknown vehicle forced her toward the jersey barriers to her left, the state patrol report said.

Upon re-entering the left lane, she was struck first by David Irwin's Subaru wagon, then by Cassandra Craig's Ford van.

Irwin, 54, and Craig, 24, both live in Vancouver. Neither was injured, but Craig's van took an estimated $2,000 in damage and was towed from the scene.

Schuett-Hames was taken to Portland's Legacy Emanuel Hospital as a precaution, but didn't require admission to the emergency room, the hospital said.

No charges had been filed Saturday evening against any drivers, including the one who apparently left the scene of the crash.

Highway 14 rollover injures woman, 19

A one-car rollover on state Highway 14 west of Lieser Road injured a 19-year-old woman Saturday morning, the Vancouver Fire Department reported.

Chelsea Byrd was westbound at about 7:40 a.m. when she seemingly lost control of her vehicle and rolled it twice, landing upside-down at the highway's edge, fire spokesman Kevin Murray said Saturday.

Firefighters sliced the vehicle open to help her out. She was complaining of head, neck and back pain but escaped life-threatening injury, Murray said.

The Washington State Patrol did not report the circumstances or Byrd's hometown, because her injuries were considered minor.

Southwest Washington Medical Center reported that Byrd was discharged at 10:50 a.m. Saturday.

A Vancouver woman suffered a possible broken leg Saturday when the motorcycle she was driving crashed into the rear of a Washougal man's pickup on state Highway 14 about 14 miles west of Stevenson.

A WSP bulletin said Cathleen R. Alvarado, 38, was riding a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle west on Highway 14 at 6:22 p.m. and crashed into the rear of a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup being driven by Patrick S. Connolly, 63, of Washougal that had slowed to make a left turn.

Connolly was not injured, according to the WSP. Avarado's was taken to Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was also cited for following too closely.
