THE COLUMBIAN
The U.S. Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck off the Oregon Coast at 11 a.m. today.
The earthquakes epicenter was 189 miles west of Bandon, Ore., in the Blanco Fracture Zone that marks the junction of the Juan de Fuca plate and the Pacific Plate. It is a common area for earthquakes.
No tsunami warning was issued.
A quake of this magnitude can sometimes be felt a great distance away as a moment of light-headedness. Did you feel anything? Let us know in the comments below.
