The tennis season came to a disappointing conclusion Saturday for Hockinson junior MacKenzie McWilliams.

McWilliams lost her first two matches of this high school season and settled for a fifth-place finish at the Class 2A state tournament played at the University of Washington.

Klahowya freshman Traci Landram beat McWilliams in straight sets in the semifinal match Saturday morning, 6-2 6-0.

Elise Rooney of Clarkston then rallied to defeat McWilliams 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the match for third place.

McWilliams finished fourth here as a sophomore, rallying through the consolation bracket after getting swept by Rooney in the 2008 quarterfinals.
