Utah man pleads guilty in identity theft case

A man has pleaded guilty to identity theft in federal court in a case that accused him and a woman of using a false Social Security number in an effort to obtain military, banking and Utah identification documents for her.
Martin Joseph MacNeill, 53, pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of aggravated identity theft aiding and abetting.
MacNeill, a former clinical director of the Utah State Developmental Center in American Fork, and Gypsy Jyll Willis, 32, were indicted by a federal grand jury in January.
Court documents show that Willis pleaded guilty in April to one count of aggravated identity theft.
MacNeill, who was also medical director of the Chehalis, Wash.-based Valley View Health Center, is set for sentencing on Aug. 12 and Willis on July 9.
