A woman with ties to Clark County is in custody in Oregon, charged with robbing the Northwest Community Credit Union in Beaverton, Ore., two months ago.

Christina Angelina Martinez, 30, was arrested in Carlton, Ore., on Thursday by the FBI, the Carlton and Beaverton police departments and Yamhill police and Yamhill County sheriff's deputies, according to a bulletin from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Portland.

She's in custody in the Yamhill County Jail as a fugitive from Washington, for an FBI hold and for a parole violation warrant, a jail spokeswoman said.

Martinez likely will appear in federal court next week.

On April 7, Martinez allegedly walked up to a teller while talking on a cell phone and demanded cash. She escaped in a white sedan driven by someone else, the bulletin said.

A federal grand jury indicted her in the robbery on May 13.

On May 21, the Vancouver Police Department and Clark County Sheriff's Office assisted the FBI and Beaverton and Portland police in executing a search warrant in Vancouver aimed at seeking evidence in the case, the bulletin said.

A search of court records shows that Martinez pleaded guilty to second-degree identity theft and third-degree theft in Clark County Superior Court on Feb. 26 and was sentenced to jail and work-crew time.

On May 12, a Clark County judge issued a bench warrant for her arrest in the identity theft case.
