Woman hurt in crash

A 19-year-old woman was taken to a hospital Monday evening after a head-on collision in the 15200 block of Northeast 182nd Avenue in Hockinson.
Julie Handlan of Brush Prairie was rushed to Southwest Washington Medical Center with serious injuries, a nursing supervisor said, and was transferred to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.
The other driver, Jenifer Hough of Brush Prairie, had three children in her minivan. They are believed to have suffered minor injuries, said Sgt. Chuck Christensen with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
About 6:15 p.m., Christensen said, a third vehicle passed one car, which may have caused the southbound Handlan to brake, swerve and lose control her Honda Civic to go into the northbound lane toward oncoming traffic.
