Brace yourself for another shot of heavy rain

Friday, June 19 | 5:34 p.m.

THE COLUMBIAN

The National Weather Service is warning of another shot of heavy rain in Clark County, through 6:15 p.m. tonight

At 5:14 p.m., Doppler Radar indicated a west-to-east line of heavy showers continuing over the greater Vancouver area, with heavy rain impacting the Vancouver Mall neighborhood, Brush Prairie, Orchards, Sifton, Hockinson, Camp Bonneville and Elkhorn Mountain.

Over an inch of rain fell in less than a half hour over the Salmon Creek area, overwhelming storm drains and causing water to cascade across Interstate 5.

Minor street flooding is likely early this evening.
