A body recovered from the Columbia River Monday has been identified as 19-year-old William Small, the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office reported.

Small went missing June 23 on the Columbia River, drawing a massive search that included several rescue boats, tethered fire department rescue swimmers using grid tactics, scuba divers and a U.S. Coast Guard MH-60 rescue helicopter crew from Astoria, Ore.

On Monday, the body was discovered by a Clark County Sheriff's Marine Patrol boat and transported to Kadow's Marina on Northwest Lower River Road.

After conducting an autopsy, the medical examiner's office concluded that Small died from drowning.
