Missing developmentally disabled man found safe

A 19-year-old developmentally disabled Vancouver man who went missing on a walk has been found safe, police reported this morning.
A police officer spotted Luis A. DeLeon just before 6 p.m. Thursday walking in the area of Mill Plain Boulevard and Brandt Road, according to a Vancouver Police Department bulletin. He was escorted home.

A police bulletin said that DeLeon left the Marshall Center at 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd. about 1 p.m. and was gong to walk by himself to his home near the 2400 block of East 18th Street.

DeLeon has Down syndrome.
