Search for missing McCleary girl shifts

Friday, July 10 | 4:00 p.m.

Investigators are shifting the base of their investigation into the Lindsey Baum disappearance from McCleary to Montesano.

Grays Harbor Undersheriff Rick Scott says after two weeks, the command center for the search for the missing 11-year old will be the sheriff's office.

Scott told KXRO the shift should not be taken as a sign of giving up. Investigators are still hoping some clue may be discovered that will lead to Lindsey.

In the past two weeks, more than 100 searchers have used dogs, horses and helicopters to search the McCleary area for the girl who disappeared the night of June 26 while walking home.
