As Insitu Inc. marks delivery of its 1,000th ScanEagle unmanned aircraft system, the company said this week that it is expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet increasing customer demand.

Insitu's new larger Stevenson facility will enable the company to increase output of its fleet and expand production of Integrator, the company's next generation, multi-mission aircraft, officials said.

Insitu Inc. is headquartered in Bingen in the Columbia Gorge. The firm, owned by Boeing Co., designs, develops and manufactures unmanned aircraft systems and associated services for commercial and military applications. The company has offices in Vancouver.
