Columbian gets nod for eco-friendly building
Monday, May 12, 2008 The ColumbianThe Columbian's headquarters on Monday became the second downtown Vancouver property to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification. The U.S. Green Building Council's four LEED designations recognize different levels of energy efficiency and environmentalism in building designs. The six-story Columbian building, at 415 W. Sixth St., achieved a gold rating, the second-highest rating available. The Hilton Vancouver Washington, next door at 301 W. Sixth St., announced its LEED certification in January 2006. |
