Defibrillators installed at Spokane high schools

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center is delivering defibrillators to Spokane high schools for emergency treatment of young people who suffer cardiac arrest.

The Spokesman-Review reports one was mounted on a wall Wednesday at Northwest Christian High School by facilities director Randy Wright.

It was a job made tougher by the memory of his son, Josh Wright, a student who collapsed and died in August during a training run for the cross-country team.

It turns out the 16-year-old had an enlarged heart.
