9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 26, Pearson Air Museum, 1115 E. Fifth St. Annual event allows visitors to climb into the cockpits of antique planes. Kids ages 8 to 17 can get free airplane rides if they sign up in the morning. Flight simulator lab open for aviation fun.

Weather permitting, the pilots of EAA Chapter 105 from Hillsboro, Oregon, will give free airplane rides to children ages 8 to 17 on a first come, first served basis. A parent or legal guardian must be present to give written permission. Families should arrive early to register children for the free plane rides because slots fill up quickly. The museum's flight simulator lab will be open for visitors and will be staffed by pilot volunteers.

Cost: $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, active military with ID and students ages 6 to 17. Children age 5 and under are free. * 360-694-7026 or www.pearsonairmuseum.org.
