Take a break from the Memorial Day Winery Tours to watch the alpacas get their annual haircuts.
Meet the alpacas and their babies up close and handle their luxurious fleece. The Barn Store will be stocked with teddy bears, sweaters, scarves and other alpaca products, many hand-crafted.
Hand-spinners, knitters and other fiber artists will find fleece and yarn. Many of the yarns are in one of the alpacas’ natural colors, spun from the fleece of a single animal. Bring your camera and get a shot of the alpaca who provided the raw material for your next project.
If you're interested in livestock for a small acreage, we've raised llamas, sheep, goats, & horses, as well as alpacas. We love to chat about them and the fiber business.
