Classes begin Nov. 6 in Longview, Nov. 15 in Vancouver. Washington State implemented a new law increasing caregiver training from 28 to 75 hours. The former Fundamentals of Caregiving training has been replaced with the Home Care Aide (HCA) training with a new certification process.
This training is now mandatory for caregivers working with seniors and the developmentally disabled in adult family homes, retirement or assisted living facilities and home care.
