WSU Clark County Extension 4-H is holding an Open House on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the Heritage Farm, 1919 NE 78th Street, Vancouver. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you’ve ever wondered what 4-H is all about or wanted to get acquainted with 4-H activities, this is your chance. There will be robots, geocaching, animals (goats, llamas, alpacas, dogs, cats, poultry, sheep, and more), making bread-in-a-bag, and a chance to harvest (and take home) carrots. Come on out to the Heritage Farm, have some fun, visit with 4-H’ers, volunteers, and staff.
Shirley Morgan, Program Coordinator, said, “4H teaches youth valuable life skills which help them succeed in their future endeavors.”
The Heritage Farm is maintained as an accessible, agricultural, educational, recreational, community-based asset that reflects the area’s history and provides a healthy and sustainable environment. Bring your picnic lunch, take a hike, and stay a while.
