“Empty Bowls” is a supper of sourdough bread and delicious soup ladled in a handmade bowl by a local artisan while being entertained by talented musical performers. This evening is a combined effort to raise awareness in the fight to end hunger on a community level. Many researchers have investigated the ties between art and progress toward social change. Woodland Action is striving to use art to open the conversation about economic struggle and the effect it has on the community.
Novice and experienced potters from Clark College Art Department have donated and created the bowls for this event. Arts of Clark County is a supporter and partner in linking the arts with community programs such as Woodland Action.
