May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii, and the Ke Kukui Foundation hosts it annual celebration of arts and crafts. Held at a new venue, in partnership with Clark College, the festival features the May Day Court, with the 2016 May Day King and Queen and their eight Hawaiian Island princess attendants, wearing their respective island flower lei and colors. There will be food and shaved ice, craft vendors and a lei making contest. Contest entries must be submitted by noon.
The festival will feature performances from Uncle Roland Espe, Ka Pā Hula O Kana‘iaupuni, Hālau Hula O Manuiki, Kaleinani O Ke Kukui, and headlining the event will be Kaloku and the Krew.
