USAA tells me they ‘may have’ a replacement for Cigna soon. guess i’m not the the only one who’s been…ill-served…by this place.
been struggling against panic attacks since friday. love having no meds.
oh, THANK YOU great little-o.
my issue is with THE LEGISLATION. USAA doesn’t administer, Cigna does. They’re following the administrative guidelines given them. Since those (THANK GOD) do not have the force of law, that’s the only place a patient can push back.
if you don’t know how the game’s played, you have zero chance of not being beaten to death literally.
An article from 2014 discussing the ACA and the need to become educated on what medications are covered before choosing your plan. Just one more reason I dislike it – I consider my research skills somewhat better than average, yet they made it extremely complicated to make a truly informed decision
i did my due-diligence. USAA has been my ins for many years now. they wrote me a supplement plan “N”, and said Cigna was the choice for my med coverage (based on which tier my meds fell in).
we’re just faceless bodies to the feds and they are busy gaining control over every aspect of what used to be our personal freedom. when the deciding factor is what the FDA says, not what the doctor’s education and experience say, we’ve lost. the essential, fatal flaw of obamacare is the insertion of a federal bureaucracy between the doctor and the patient. and who controls the FDA…?
we’re not adults anymore, just the ignorant masses so inept we need to be controlled by our betters.
we’re being turned into a society that is not free and this is a MAJOR incursion into what we had left.
before 1/1/15, i had my meds, my insurance and could afford all of it.
now i have no meds, cancelled pharm insurance, rising premiums and have to delay paying bills in order to pay for it all
what changed? OBAMACARE swept it all away and FORCED ME (under actual THREAT OF LAW) to go on it.
i used to pay insurance claims, medical insurance claims, 3 different companies. i know what i’m doing. believe me or don’t, this issue is with the LEGISLATION.
HAVE TO PASS IT TO KNOW WHAT’S IN IT…remember?
BTW…got 5 capsules two days ago that are rationed out one every-other-day. took one today, so i’m actually thinking kinda rationally.
note: kinda long, may wanna skip
glad it’s working for you.
i take a med that’s $10/capsule. have for decades. no problem until january, when BO/BS hijacked my insurance, health and freedom with that…thing.
had enough of the med until august. called for refill. later, got call back from pharmacy. first words were, “They’ve done it to you again”. ins company had cancelled my coverage and back-dated it to 6/30/15.
called my pols and was sent to insurance commissioner’s office. filed complaint.
i’ve lost other meds because they didn’t meet the new law’s requirements. i had one med, they declined to pay because of the dosage. said it wasn’t ‘FDA approved’. WENT TO THE FDA WEBSITE, to the prescribing info, found my dose, called the ins co back and had to argue with them that the med did, IN FACT, meet their ‘new’ requirement.
so this is the new death panel: throw off old disabled people with costly meds and see which ones stick. oh, and drag out the appeals process so long that lack of needed meds solves their problem for them
FWIW… i miss y’all and those who aren’t posting anymore, too. usta look fwd to my daily visits to the basement.
thanks JJ…honestly didn’t think anybody would notice.
still really suffering b/cause of my meds being screwed by obamacare. insurance commissioner says at least three more weeks.
hope my MD can keep me functioning that long with what he’s been given to work with (ignore his training & experience and only concentrate on what he can get past the death panels.)
if this were the NYT, classification of each post would be great.
this ain’t the NYT
no bennies in it for him
when do we call the patient dead?
Aerosmith’s playing the amphitheatre on I5 something like 7/28 this month….
put ‘reply’ under what it’s replying to
they gotta be kidding w/this stuff. what’s next…? delving into his grammar school records….?
