DuBois leads Loyola-Marymount past Portland 62-59

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jarred DuBois hit a 3-pointer with 17 seconds remaining to propel Loyola-Marymount to a 62-59 win over Portland Saturday night.

DuBois came off the bench for Loyola-Marymount (13-9, 6-3 WCC) and scored a team-high 18 points, hitting three of the Lions four 3-pointers in the game.

The game featured 14 ties and 12 lead changes as the Lions outrebounded the Pilots (5-17, 2-7) 34-26 and held a 15-6 edge in second-chance points.

Drew Viney added 14 points for Loyola Marymount. Kevin Bailey led Portland with 22 points, which equaled a career high.

The Lions took a seven-point lead, 46-39, on back-to-back layups by Anthony Ireland. The Pilots fought back and tied it at 49-all on a Tim Douglas jumper. Both teams did not hold more than a three-point lead for the remainder of the game.
