The Luepke Florist building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1937, the building, at 1300 Washington St., is historically significant for its direct association with Rudolph “Rudy” Luepke, a prominent Vancouver business and civic leader, according to a news release from the state Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation.

It is also significant because it “embodies the distinctive characteristics of its type and period of construction and represents the work of locally prominent architect Donald J. Stewart.”
