CENTRALIA — Washington’s Lottery has announced its annual list of “Luckiest Stores,” naming Safeway in Centralia as the top outlet for winning tickets in Southwest Washington.

The designation means the Harrison Avenue location sold the most winning tickets worth $1,000 or more in the previous year.

The store sold eight big wins in 2014.

“What an exciting feeling it is to be able to offer our customers such a unique experience,” Assistant Store Manager Candace Nutbrown said. “We’re honored to be their ‘lucky store.’ “

Safeway, at 1129 Harrison Ave., was the only store named in Lewis County and also had the highest amount of “big wins.”

The remainder of the stores had seven, five or four big wins and were in Vancouver, Battle Ground or Longview.
