The Clark College women’s basketball team picked up their first victory of the season Tuesday, defeating Linn-Benton 62-59 at the O’Connell Center.
Renee Tzeo led the Penguins (1-2) with 18 points, while Michelle Marthini pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds to go with nine points.
Clark coach Nancy Boone said her team learned a lot from their first two games in Yakima prior to Thanksgiving, and came out Tuesday with a solid game.
“It’s a learning experience,” Boone said. “It’s about trusting each other on the floor and see how you’ll play together. You learn something about your team.”
