People who live or work in east Vancouver are invited to a community forum hosted by the Vancouver Police Department.

It will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium of Mountain View High School, 1500 S.E. Blairmont Drive in Cascade Park.

The forum is about crime trends and ways residents and police can solve problems in East Precinct District 4, which includes about 25 neighborhoods, most east of Interstate 205.

Residents, workers, apartment managers and property owners are welcome, according to a bulletin from police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

For more information, call Cpl. Charlie Ford, the district’s neighborhood police officer, at 360-487-7540; or visit www.vanpolice.org, where a map of the district is available.
