Gunderson Russell Baseball Holiday Clinics — 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 29 and Dec. 30 at J.D. Zellerbach Elementary School in Camas. Dec. 29 clinic for ages 13 and younger will focus on baseball fundamentals. Dec. 30 pitching clinic is for ages 12 and older and will feature Kevin Gunderson, former Oregon State pitcher now with the Atlanta Braves organization. Dan Dickau Basketball Academy — Individual, small group, and large group training for all ages and abilities. Head trainer is Daven Harmeling, a 2009 graduate of WSU, where he played for the Cougars. The program runs out of Firstenburg Community Center. The Dan Dickau Basketball Academy was created by Dan Dickau and Travis Drake. As Dickau continues his playing career, his on-court involvement in this academy is limited to the summer months. He is involved in the vision and structure of the academy, as well as working with Daven Harmeling to create workout plans. HotShots Youth Sports Basketball Leagues — Recreational basketball for boys and girls in grades 1-6. Session One runs Oct. 26 to Jan. 23, 2010. Session 2 runs Jan. 25 to April 10, 2010. Cost: $85 per session, which includes a team shirt. Financial help is available. Teams practice once each week at neighborhood schools, and games are played on Friday evenings or on Saturdays. Clark County Running Club

Friday, Jan. 1, 10 a.m. — Annual Hangover 5K Run. Start 2010 with a 5-kilometer run around the Fort Vancouver Barracks. This is a good time to renew your CCRC membership. Fit Right Northwest — Programs for beginning runners and walkers to train for race distances from 5-kilometers up to a marathon distance. Get Fit Live Fit Training Programs will expanded their group training program in 2010. The running and walking programs designed for training for a 5-kilometer up to a half marathon distance will include a 24-week marathon program for training for a fall marathon in 2010!
