Santa’s big trip is only two days away, but he’ll have no trouble finding Clark County, thanks to all of the decorated houses that have been submitted to The Columbian. So grab some cocoa, put the holiday tunes on the radio and enjoy a trip around the county.

Pioneer Meadows: The Whitehead family has created a display called “Magical Lights on 63rd Street” at 16304 N.E. 63rd St. There are 40,000 lights set to music at 88.5 FM. The whole show is computer controlled, with 256 channels of animation. Highlights include a 20-foot-tall tree adorned with 9,600 lights, 10 smaller trees, a “Merry Christmas” sign and more. Donations will be accepted for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The show runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 1.

Proebstel: Joyce and Swede Livingston have some 30,000 lights on their house, yard and trees at 20306 N.E. 68th St., with 7,000 stapled onto the roof and 3,000 of them flashing to Christmas music. Decorations include a Nativity scene, statues, inflatables and lights in the trees. The couple have been lighting the way for Santa for years and add something new each year. Their lights are on from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. daily through Jan. 1.

Covington: Stan and Bobbi Kay Kirschenmann are back lighting up their house in a big way at 7207 N.E. 92nd Ave. After scaling back last year, the couple have gone all out and created a display they are calling “A Country Christmas.” Decorations include a handcrafted, full-size horse and sleigh, a Nativity and more than 25,000 lights. The lights are on from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 1.

Woodland: Jeff Flanagan’s laptop is in charge of his light display set to music at 246 Misty Drive in Woodland. The computer controls 64 channels and 12,000 lights that can fade on and off. There’s a 20-foot tree with 4,200 lights, outdoor speakers so visitors can hear the music, as well as music piped through 106.9 FM. The show lasts for three songs and starts on the half-hour from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through New Year’s Day. Donations will be accepted on behalf of the Woodland High School girls soccer team, which may be on hand with cocoa on the weekends.
