PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the western Columbia River Gorge.

The weather service says snow, freezing rain and sleet will make travel difficult in that part of the Gorge on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, traffic on main streets in the greater Portland metro area was moving steadily Wednesday morning after a snow storm snarled the rush hour commute Tuesday night.

Still, authorities are advising drivers in the Portland area to be careful and telling bus riders there may be delays.
