Turkey Day brought feast of rain

Thanksgiving turned out to be a very rainy day with over an inch of rain falling upon most of Clark County. This brought Vancouver’s rainfall above average for the month, but the dry weather Friday and Saturday brought it back down below average. And with a mostly dry forecast through Monday, November most likely will end up over a half inch below average.

The day after Thanksgiving turned out to be a magnificent day with sunny and crisp weather for all of those holiday shoppers. Weatherwise it was a blue Friday for sure! As December rolls in on Tuesday, it appears the first week or so of the new month will be on the dry side of things at this point. That could change later in the week, but right now we will go for fair and cool weather with frosty mornings here and there.

I ran across a neat stocking stuffer for the weather buff in your family, a wireless indoor-electronic outdoor thermometer for only $15 at Fred Meyer. They come in various colors such as red, green, black and white. It also records the minimum and maximum temperatures for the day. What a deal.

Online, my most trusted Web site for the best prices for weather gadgets can be found at www.premiereproducts.biz. I got their catalog in the mail the other day and I have already checked off several neat weather toys for Santa to choose from. Let’s see, what do they say about older boys? Oh yes, the more expensive their toys. Indeed!
