BOTHELL, Wash. (AP) — The city of Bothell breaks ground Tuesday on two road projects that are key to a $150 million downtown redevelopment.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports a $62 million project will tear down 15 buildings and realign state Highway 522. A second $22 million project will widen the highway, which runs around the north shore of Lake Washington.
The work is part of a five-year Bothell plan to reduce traffic congestion and develop shops, offices and housing in a 25-acre district.
