MOUNT HOOD, Ore. (AP) — KATU-TV reports a lost cross-country skier has been found safe Friday morning after a night on Mount Hood.
Searchers zeroed in on the 43-year-old man just after 6 a.m. He had called by cell phone Thursday night to say he was lost in an area near Ski Bowl.
His wife said he was dressed for skiing and not prepared for overnight conditions. There was light snow and temperatures in the 20s.
