SEATTLE (AP) — A former Seattle union official has pleaded guilty to embezzling a little more than $50,000.

Sid Mannetti took the money while he was president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 1170 from 2006 to 2008. The union represents about 140 workers at Pacific Medical Centers in the Seattle area.

Mannetti entered the plea in federal court Thursday. He agreed to pay the money back and is barred from holding a union office for 13 years.

Prosecutors said he used the union’s credit card and bank account to pay for personal expenses.
