Traffic was slowed to a single lane this morning on Padden Parkway near Northeast 152nd Avenue, according to Kevin Murray, a Vancouver Fire Department spokesman who saw the aftermath of the crash on his way to work.
A pickup truck and a sedan collided, according to Murray, who said one of the vehicles’ occupants was being transported to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The crash was reported at 6:18 a.m.
A Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy was directing traffic, Murray said.
A second two-car crash reported at about 6:50 a.m. was blocking traffic on the Interstate 205 overpass near Padden Parkway. The driver of a white Hyundai that collided with a pickup complained of chest pains, according to Sgt. Chad Rothenbger.
Both vehicles were towed. The roadways have since been cleared.
