A Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy suffered minor injuries at about midnight when he his arm was stuck in the door of a suspect’s vehicle as the man put the car in gear and fled.

Deputy Christopher Luque was arresting 25-year-old Thomas Jackson on suspicion of providing a false name and driving with a suspended license. By night’s end, Jackson was booked at the Clark County Jail on additional charges, including two counts of third-degree assault and one count of attempting to elude a police officer.

The City Attorney’s Office will review allegations of obstruction, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license.

Luque pulled Jackson over for an unspecified traffic violation. He was trying to unbuckle Jackson and take him into custody when Jackson pushed him away and slammed his arm in the vehicle’s door.
